NICOLA SALMASO

Civil and Environmental Engineer graduated at the University of Padua with a master thesis concerning the modelling of a membrane bioreactor for the treatment of high ammonia strength wastewaters in the industrial field. The thesis focused on the proposal of a mathematical description of the nitritation process and the simulation of nitrite accumulation in the oxidation tanks. After the graduation he first worked on the design and construction of wastewater treatment plants for the industrial field and then on the consultancy and design in the municipal wastewater treatment field. The experience in the modelling of the plants, pushed him to get deeper in the process calculation through the simulation software available on the market (DHI West at first and then Envirosim Biowin) implementing this valuable tool in the consultancy and design activities to get better accuracy and reliability of the results. He finally becomes part of the InnovEn s.r.l. team in order to bring his experience in the wastewater treatment field integrating it with deep knowledge of the anaerobic digestion plants of the Tonello Energie Group.

InnovEn srl was born in 2013 as an innovative start-up and university spin-off, from professors and researchers of Verona University Biotechnology Department and the Marche Polytechnic University, working as consultancy and research for the development and validation of environmental biotechnologies. Starting from 2019 InnovEn srl becomes part of Tonello Energie srl, one of the main players in the biogas field, focusing on the design, engineering and construction of wastewater treatment plants both in the municipal and industrial fields.
